Sultan Qaboos University received group of high school and middle school teachers from Texas, United States of America who are on a visit to Oman, to learn about is geography, culture and communities, facilitated by the Sultan Qaboos Cultural Centre, Washington DC, USA. The aim their one-week visit to Oman is to bridge understanding between the two communities.
At SQU, the teachers’ group from Texas was received by the officials from the Office of International Cooperation and the College of Education. The two sides exchanged information on the school education system in both countries. Dr. Sulaiman Al Balushi, the Dean of the College of Education briefed the delegation about the teaching, research and community service portfolios of the college and its links with national and international organizations and agencies.
Sultan Qaboos Cultural Centre in Washington DC organizes mutual visits of people between the two countries to promote mutual respect and understanding between the two nations and to educate a new generation of culturally sensitive and knowledgeable citizens in each society.
