There are two types of accommodation: Hotels and Apartments.  Apartment based accommodation is cheaper than Hotel. The Organizing Committee has made special arrangements to offer discounted rates for registered participants of the conference. Sultan Qaboos University will provide free transportation between Hotels/Apartments and the conference site (once in the morning & once in the evening).

Apartments

There are many Apartment Hotels in Muscat which are cheaper than Hotel accommodation.  There are one bed room apartments with either two single beds or a double bed in few Hotels. These one bed room apartments have a kitchen, two single beds or a double bed and a majlis (sitting room). All the apartments are air conditioned and located within 15 minutes drive from the airport and 30 minutes drive from the University. You can buy your breakfast in the restaurant in the Hotel or in restaurants within walking distance. The rates mentioned below for the Apartments  may go up with time as the tourist season period for Muscat is October-March every year.
