The Animal and Veterinary Sciences Department showed a steady period of growth and development. During this period we have seen class size numbers increase, research endeavors flourish and we have actively been involved in a number of service activities that have had far reaching consequences outside the realms of the College.
The Department continued in its mission to conduct research in a broad range of disciplines that have immediate and long-term benefits to the agricultural industry in Oman. The second phase of the Department’s joint research project on vitamin B12 deficiencies in goats was completed with considerable success. Several new projects were launched pertaining to meat quality, carcass evaluation and poultry production. |
