Information Center at the College of Commerce and Economics provides services to students, faculty and staff members of the college and SQU community. The center was officially opened on 16 November 1993 during the fourth graduation festivities by His Majesty Sultan Qaboos bin Said. It houses a specialized business and economics library, computer labs, the college textbook store, study and discussion areas, and technical and audio-visual service areas.

The purpose of the library facility is to enhance the educational process. In addition to the usual functions of a newly established library (procurement, cataloging, display), the objectives are to provide:
(1) Reference and Supplementary materials
(2) Electronic Resources and databases
(3) Special Publication holdings (on campus holdings, Sultanate of Oman repositories, GCC libraries),
(3) linkage with libraries world-wide,
(4) Comfortable, quiet space for individual study and research,
(5) Discussion areas for group project work, interviews and study sessions,
(6) Staff areas for research guidance, circulation and technology support.
