The Centre for Information Systems CIS is responsible for providing and supporting the SQU's entire computer based information systems requirements. Its objective is to ensure that the SQU receives the best, and most up to date information systems resources.
We support the information systems needs of the SQU campus community, our faculty, staff and students. This we do by developing, maintaining and running the SQU's computing infrastructure, providing academics with educational resources, and operating electronic information systems for and on-behalf of SQU's Administration, and similar units.
Other objectives include developing information systems skills and expertise to the benefit of the community and, ultimately, society. This responsibility we discharge in a number of ways. We provide training in information systems topics, and also research and develop intellectual and practical resources. We provide student internships (work experience) for students, including those from private institutions. We also execute consultancies for both the government and private sectors. |
