FAQ in SIS


1. How can I login to SIS?

    Visit http://sis.squ.edu.om and login using your internet (email) username and password.


2. I've forgotten my password!

    Please contact CIS, Information Security Division.


3. After entering my user name and password, I get a message saying: "Authentication failed; invalid user name or password.

    Please contact CIS, Information Security Division.


4. After entering my user name and password, I get a message saying: "You are not authorized to access this service.

    Please contact CIS, Information Security Division.


5. After entering my user name and password, I get a message saying: "No empno in Active Directory.Please contact help desk."

    Please contact CIS, Information Security Division.


6. After entering my user name and password, I get a message saying: "SIS user does not exist. Please Contact Admissions and Registration."

    If you are a staff member, please contact the Deanship of Admissions and Registration.

    If you are a student, please contact the Deanship of Admissions and Registration (for undergraduates) or Deanship of Postgraduate Studies (for postgraduates).


7. After entering my user name and password, I get a message saying: "Your SIS account has been inactivated.

    Please contact the Deanship of Admissions and Registration (for undergraduates) or Deanship of Postgraduate Studies (for postgraduates).


8. After entering my user name and password, I get a message saying: "You are no longer an active student in SIS, and your access has been discontinued."

    Your student academic status has been changed to graduate or withdrawn. You are not allowed to access the SIS online services.


9. After entering my user name and password, I get a message saying: "Your contract in SIS has expired, and your access has been discontinued.

   

    Please contact Timetable Department in the Deanship of Admissions and Registration."


    Please contact the Timetable Department in the Deanship of Admissions and Registration to update your contract dates.


10.I am a student and I can login successfully, but I get a blank page!

    Please contact the Deanship of Admissions and Registration (for undergraduates) or Deanship of Postgraduate Studies


    (for postgraduates) to ensure that your Student Status record is complete.
