This program prepares qualified teachers in Physics for secondary schools although graduates will also be eligible to teach general science subjects in basic schools. Theoretical lectures are supplemented by laboratory sessions, workshops, seminars and discussions, as well as practical training. The program extends over eight semesters and consists of 18 credit hours of general cultural courses (University requirements), 75 hours of specialized academic instruction in Physics, and 39 hours of educational and vocational courses (College requirements).
Field training in both basic and secondary schools ensures that practical as well as theoretical teaching skills are mastered. Graduates in this specialization are not numerous and graduates in this field can expect good opportunities for employment not only in teaching but also in curriculum development and training.
