Welcome to the website for the Department of Early Childhood Education. Our vision in establishing the department at 2006 is to be a top Early Childhood Education program as an example in the region, and to gain international recognition. Therefore, the program is designed in accordance with standards and principles developed by the National Association for the Education of Young Children. The mission of the department is to prepare distinguished graduates in the field of early childhood who will enhance the education and care services for children from birth to six years of age in the Sultanate of Oman.

Preparing distinguished leaders in the field of early childhood, specifically from birth to six years of age based on international standards.

Mission
ECE department strives to prepare distinguished graduates in developing programs for early childhood institutions and in providing parental and societal services to meet the needs of children in the different developmental domains.
The Children Care Center endeavors to become a center of excellence at both the local and regional levels.

To achieve our vision we establish a Child Care Center on campus, which is linked to the program, in order to assist the graduates of the program in demonstrating appropriate care-giving competencies towards young children
