
Graduates of the program should demonstrate the following:
A firm professional philosophy based on theory and research of child development and theories of instruction.
· Appropriate care-giving competencies in all areas needed by young children.
· Competency in skills of observation and the use of appropriate assessment tools and documentation techniques in evaluation the children's growth and development.
· Competency in skills of communication and interaction with children and guidance of children's behavior.
· Ability to motivate and help children develop in all domains (cognitive, social, emotional, physical) and to become independent learners who construct meaningful information from the world around them.
· Professional growth in designing and implementing activities suitable to the development of children in all curricular areas.
· Competency in designing appropriate environment for young children knowledge of the selection of suitable equipment, and skill in the designing of appropriate materials.
· Competency in comprehension and application of written material and research.
· Skills in working harmoniously and effectively with adults, including parents, staff and other professionals.
· Competencies in enhancing the development and education of children with special needs.
