Hands on Experience, Training and Technical Tools
I have been working for the Sultan Qaboos University (College of Science) since 1987, after a two years diploma course in Science (Physics). I was the first technical staff in the Department of Physics, so I had to opportunity to get hands on experience in almost every section in the department. I have also been granted by the university, the opportunity to be trained in several aspects locally and internationally.
I moved into electronics during my HND training and afterwards in the Physics Department. At the beginning of 1995 I was given the responsibility of the supervision and operation of the (College of Science Electronics Workshop). Since then, and after my B-Eng. training, I have been carrying out, maintenance and repairs of all kinks of scientific equipment in the College of Science. I am currently the department superintendent.
Duties
- Department Superintendent.
- In charge of the College of Science Electronics Workshop.
- In charge of maintenance and repairs of Vibrating Sample Magnetometer.
