The mission of the Main Library is to provide information resources and services to support the curriclum in the colleges and centers.  It also supports the research and staff development needs of the Sultan Qaboos University faculty and staff.

The primary focus of the collection is on thesubjects covered in programs offered at SQU.  Bibliographic records of materials are available through catalogs and indexes that allow patrons access to resources available.

The overall strategic planning for the library is to develop qualitatively library collections and to support the library's vision and strategy by directing and integraing the delivery of information technology services.
