	The Oil and Gas Research Centre (OGRC) at Sultan Qaboos University is committed to remain at the leading edge of Petroleum and Gas Research in the region. Oman depends heavily on the oil and gas industry. Indeed, in terms of revenue generation it is the biggest industry in Oman and the Gulf region. The long-term prospects for the development of the petroleum and natural gas industries in Oman depend upon exploration, production and research activities in areas related to enhancement of oil and gas recoveries and reduction to the technical cost affiliated to it.
