Postgraduate Courses Online Registration Announcement – Spring 2013

The Deanship of Postgraduate Studies announces to all postgraduate students enrolled in bridging, masters or doctoral programs that the dates for registering courses and thesis online for Spring 2013 will start on 12th January, 2013 and ends on 6th February, 2013, after that the payment of tuition fees period will start, as shown in the table below:

-     12/1/2013:

Start of online registration for Postgraduate Students

-     First Week of Classes

-      Continuation of Online Registration

-     End of 6/2/2013:

·         Online Registration will stop for all Postgraduate Students.

·         Financial encumbrance will be added to all self-sponsored students.

-     9/2/2013: Start of collecting tuition fees at Deanship of Postgraduate Studies.

-     13/2/2013:

·         Last day of paying tuition fees.

·         End of the day: all students who did not pay the required tuition fees, their registration will be canceled

 

You must abide by the registration dates and the following instructions must be followed to facilitate the process:

1.     Students who do not have password to login for online registration, can click on the link “get password”  on the following page http://sis.squ.edu.om and the username will be the student’s ID number prefixed with the letter S ( example s5295).

2.     To learn how to use the registration system, please visit the website: http://sis.squ.edu.om

3.     Technical support will be available during registration period from 8:00 am to 1:00 pm by calling 24145914, 24145920 or by sending an e-mail to dps_acad@squ.edu.om.

4.     Some of registered courses will be canceled automatically, if the student did not register for the required course load. ( Full-Time Students: Minimum 9 Credits, Part-Time Students: Maximum 6 Credits)

5.     Students who are under probation cannot register online. They will be registered in the Deanship of Postgraduate Studies. 

6.     Please make sure that you do not have any of the following conditions prior to registration, as this will stop your registration:

A.     Encumbrance of textbooks.

B.     Encumbrance of tuition fees.

C.    Requirement for extension of study period.

D.    Requirement to withdraw for academic reasons.

E.     Did not register for the last two semesters.

F.     Did not register in Fall2012 after the postponement of studies in the previous semester, Spring2012.

7.     In the following cases, please refer to the timetabling coordinator  in your department or college or consult with the Program’s Coordinator, Head of the Department or the Assistant Dean for Postgraduate Studies and Research in the college during the add and drop period that starts on 2/2/2013 and ends on 6/2/2013:

A.     Course not offered in the system.

B.     Conflict among courses.

C.    No seats are available. In the case, students must be authorized through the Student Information System (SIS) to be able to register.

8.     Fees Regulation (310/2010) will be applied for fees calculation for 2011/2012 cohort and after. For more information please visit Deanship of Postgraduate Website.
