Thesis Registration and Defense Procedures – Master

 

1.  Student can register for thesis in the third semester after having competed at least 12 credits of course work

 

2.  Student select thesis supervisor with the assistance of program coordinator

 

3.  Student and supervisor propose other members of the thesis committee

 

4.  Thesis committee should be confirmed by the student’s Departmental  Board

 

5.  Student complete Thesis Committee Form (DPS5) and later send to  Deanship of Postgraduate Studies

 

6.  Student should continuously register for courses or thesis every semester

 

7.  Fill in Thesis Progress Report (DPS8) and hand in to Deanship of Postgraduate Studies at registration time

 

8.  Two seminars should be given. The first seminar is held within the first two semesters of research work, and the second one is held before the thesis defense

 

9.  Student should complete Readiness for Thesis Defense Form (DPS 15).  The form should be signed by all thesis committee members

 

10. Student should complete Thesis Examining Committee Form (DPS16) and later send to Deanship of Postgraduate Studies

 

11. Deanship of Postgraduate Studies will write letters to members of the Thesis Examining Committee

 

12. Conduct thesis defense
