The Radiology Department. at SQUH performs approximately 40.000 procedures per year including General Radiology, Contrast Studies, MRI, CT, Nuclear Medicine , Ultrasound and Interventional Radiology.
A complete PACS was operational in May 2002 and the department is virtually “filmless” except for laser prints of examinations on patients from other hospitals in Oman.
There are 5 radiologists, 1 nuclear medicine physician, 1 superintendent, 3 senior technicians and 31 radiographers ( 12 Omanis ).
