SQU, Oman Broadband Company signs Cooperation Agreement
Within the framework of cooperation between different private and government institutions to strengthen the partnership between the public and private sectors and in order to improve ICT services and economic infrastructure, Sultan Qaboos University and Oman Broadband Company signed a cooperation agreement. Prof. Ali bin Huwaishal Al-Shuaili, Deputy V.C. for Administrative and Financial Affairs and Eng. Said bin Abdullah Al Mandhri, CEO of Oman Broadband Company, signed the agreement.
The agreement is related to renting a university site to build a high-speed Internet service center. According to the agreement, the university will rent 400 square meters of its land to build a telecommunication center and provide telecommunication services and high-speed internet. Oman Broadband will have the right to use the land area for five years, and can be renewed for further periods according to written request from the company.
