Vision

The College of Law aims to be a distinguished scientific and research hub nationally, regionally and internationally. In the context of the world’s liberalization of the juridical professions and services, our students should be provided with specialized quality education and training, to be internationally competitive.

 

Mission

The College of Law seeks to provide advanced legal education, using modern technology and comparative approaches to help boost students’ abilities for the legal job market. Its mission is to qualify students in legal science and foster relationships with society and public and private sectors’ institutions.

 

Objectives
The College of Law seeks to achieve the following objectives:
1. Define programs and teaching methods in accordance with the circumstances of the Omani society in particular and the Arab society in general in order to serve the region's needs and aspirations and prepare the students to meet the requirements and challenges of the job market.
2. Adherence to the international accreditation and quality assurance regulations and criteria to guarantee consistency in the performance of the college in the field of law, and the students’ rights to obtain an internationally recognized degree to allow them to join the varied and competitive job market.
3. Although teaching is mainly conducted in Arabic, some courses are delivered in English so as to meet the requirements of the job market, as several legal professions and functions require the use of English.
4. Vary the teaching methods and approaches to include theoretical classes and practical training on legal issues in the form of workshops, seminars, debates, moot courts and arbitration, and legal clinic.
