Department Functions

 

1.   Follow-up on the implementation of regulations relevant to postgraduate programs in the University.

2.  Develop plans and suggestions to implement the objectives of the Deanship of Postgraduate Studies relevant to programs

3.     Assist colleges in developing new postgraduate programs

4.     Coordinate postgraduate programs’ review in coordination with colleges

5.     Update postgraduate programs in the Student Information System (SIS)

6.  Coordinate with colleges on development and implementation of marketing plans for postgraduate programs

7.  Develop and administer skills’ enhancement programs with cooperation from specialists from inside and outside the University

8.     Any other work assigned to the Department by the Dean

 

Review and Assessment Section

 

1.  Coordinate and supervise the process of reviewing postgraduate programs and quality of academic courses

2.     Provide recommendations that contribute to developing  postgraduate programs

3.     Enter and update postgraduate programs in the Student Information System (SIS)

4.     Provide reports and information on postgraduate programs in the University

 

Outreach and Marketing Section

 

1.  Marketing  of postgraduate programs in different mediums (exhibition, conferences, newspapers, etc.) with  coordination with concerned departments in the University

2.     Supervise the marketing publications of the Deanship

3.  Outreach and communicate locally and internationally on matters relevant to postgraduate studies

 

Skills Program Section

 

1.    Provide skills programs with cooperation of specialists from inside and outside the University

2.     Administer the Skills Program

3.    Review programs and provide recommendations to the Department Director

4.     Provide supplies for supporting the teaching of subjects
