Membrane Technology Laboratory 

The Membrane Technology Laboratory (MTL) at the Oil and Gas Research Center will develop new and extensive research programs in gas reaction, separation and purification using membrane technology. The MTL will focus on development of novel advanced technology of preparation and characterization of inorganic membranes and membrane reactors to provide efficient and sustainable separation and purification processes in the oil and gas industry. The MTL will play a leading role in the research for natural gas processing, hydrogen separation and purification, hydrocarbon dehydrogenation and oilfield water cleanup / purification applications in an efficient, economic and environmentally safe manner. The MTL in collaboration with the colleges of Sultan Qaboos University and industrial and global research partners will strive to achieve excellence in membrane technology research.
