 Conference Registration


We are pleased to announce that the registration
for the 12th ELT conference is now open.

Please read the following information carefully before completing the registration form.

Important Information


Please read the following information carefully before completing and sending the registration form.

  • Deadlines will be strictly adhered to. The fee payable is the fee which will be applicable on the date your form and payment is received. If payment is made through direct deposit into the conference account, the date of transaction receipt must be prior to deadlines. Please ensure, therefore, that your registration and payment is sent well before the deadlines. If you are registering close to a deadline, we recommend submitting the registration form online (with proof of payment) or in person to the staff in charge of registration in the Language Centre of Sultan Qaboos University.
  • Payments or evidence of payments must accompany the registration form. No registration will be accepted without full payment. Please refer to the information on methods of paymentbelow.
  • An e-mail of acknowledgement will be sent to you within 1 week after receiving your registration form and payment.
  • A receipt of your payment will be posted to your address.
  • On the first day of the conference, pre-registered delegates should proceed to the "PRE-REGISTRATION" desk on the first floor of the Exhibition Hall, to collect their conference package. Please bring your receipt as proof of your registration and payment.
  • If you don't receive the acknowledgement e-mail within a week after sending your registration form, please contact us.

 **50 seats are available for graduating and postgraduate students ONLY. Student ID card is required.  (Registration is on first-come-first–served basis).


Registration Fee for Presenters


Presenters are required to pay a non-refundable registration fee of 20 OR. The completed registration form along with payment should be sent by Wednesday, February 29, 2012 to be able to secure a presentation slot.

Registration Procedure:
  1. Download the registration form and fill it in using Microsoft Office Word.

  2. Pay the registration fees. Please check details about fees and methods of payment.

  3. Submit the form accompanied by evidence of payment using one of the following ways:

Sorry! No forms received by fax will be accepted.

Registration includes the following:
  1. session attendance
  2. lunches and refreshments for the two days
  3. conferencepackage (bag, stationery, badge etc.)
  4. certificate of participation
Registration does not include the following:

  1. fees for the certified workshops
  2. accommodation
  3. transportation
Methods of Payment

  • All payments should be made in cash or by direct deposit into the conference account only. Payments can be made in Omani Riyals or US dollars.
  • Cash: Payment in cash should be made directly at the Language Center to Ms. Ahlam Al Ajmi, first floor, Room 1029. (Please do not send cash by post.)
  • Direct Deposit: Payment should be deposited to: Bank Muscat (SQU Branch) Account No: 0304-00809050-0012, Account name: SQU Conference and Workshop, Swift Code: BMUSOMRXXXX. Upon depositing the registration fee, please post the original direct deposit slip to the conference address along with the completed registration form. Please write the deposit transaction number in the specified box in the form.
  • It is advisable that you retain a copy of the direct deposit slip for your own records.
  • If you are sending the registration form by e-mail, please include a scanned version of the direct deposit slip.
  • If you are depositing money from outside Oman, please note that you are required to cover any bank charges and to account for any exchange rate differences. It is your responsibility to ensure that the money we receive into our bank account is the same as the appropriate fee.

 

 Refund Policy
  • In case you are unable to attend the conference and therefore need to cancel your registration, please be advised that your request of cancellation should be received by the 31st March 2012.  You will be refunded the full amount you have paid. However, the refund of your registration fee will be processed one month after the conference dates.
  • Any requests received after the 31st March, 2012, will NOT be accepted.
