The Department of Soils, Water and Agricultural Engineering provides students with an modern education for careers in the management of soil and water resources, the environment, natural resources, and industrial processes relating to food and other biological products, to meet the needs of the Sultanate.
The Department’s faculty and staff are actively engaged in research trying to solve environmental problems related to soil and water of the Sultanate. The Department takes an active role in extension and community outreach making its expertise and laboratory facilities available to the community.
Our vision is to become an internationally recognized center of learning to train students in the management of soil & water resources and agricultural engineering in an environmentally sustainable way.
