The Department considers the students central to its activities. Therefore the Student Staff Liaison committee plays a vital role in forming close cooperation between the students and the faculty and staff. Chaired by the Head of the Department, this committee is responsible of gathering the names of selected student members in accordance with the university regulations, scheduling meetings with them, and informing the board about any problems faced by the students. At least two meetings are scheduled per year and all meetings are documented. The feedback received from the students is part of the continuous quality improvement process.
