Doctoral Degree

Admission Requirements

The applicant should have:

1. A masters degree from a recognised university or equivalent institution with a cumulative GPA of at least 3.00 on a 4-point scale or equivalent.
2. English proficiency test results or certificates with a score of at least 550 points in TOEFL or 213 points in computer based TOEFL, or 6.0 points in academic IELTS.
3. A statement on the objectives and goals for enrolment in the doctoral program.
4. Three letters of reference, at least two from academics, to show competence in the discipline of interest and research capability.
5. Release letter from employer for the duration of the program (3 years).
6. Applicants who satisfy the admissions requirements will be invited to assessment interviews.

 

Application Procedures

Candidates should follow these procedures:

1.    Obtain an Application Form from the Department of Admission to Postgraduate Studies at the Deanship of Admissions & Registration

2.      Complete the application form and pay the application fee (R.O. 10) through Bank Muscat.

 Candidates should submit a complete Application Form with the following documents:

1. Up to date transcript (one original and two copies)
2. Degree certificate (one original and two copies)
3. Passport and ID and two copies of each.
4. Four recent photos with blue background, name written on the back.
5. Curriculum Vitae.
6. English proficiency test result.
7. A “release letter.
8. Proof of financial support.
