The Department contributes to the Core Program of the Oman Medical Specialty Board (OMSB) and supervise their postgraduate research. The Department runs special programs for OMSB candidates specializing in Clinical Biochemistry.  1. Instrumentation and Biochemical Techniques 2. Methodology in Clinical Chemistry 3. Biochemical Basis of Disease 4. Advanced Molecular Biology The department also offers clinical rotation of OMSB candidates and train them to ultimately take teh Royal College of Pathologists (UK) examinations.
