Services » Medical Checkups

Procedure for New Employees and overseas scholarships

A medical record file will be opened for you.  You will be allocated a Famco number, which will be required each time you visit, as long as you are employed by SQU.

On day 1-blood samples will be taken for a complete blood count and a check for HIV. Even though you may have had all these tests before you come, they must be repeated.

A request for chest  x-ray will be given, the X ray will be done in the Hospital Radiology Dept. If you   have brought your chest x-ray film to FAMCO, then we do not need to repeat it , but you will take the X-ray to the main hospital and it will be read by the radiologist.

Reports take about one week to come.  After a week you must call FAMCO ( Tel # 515714 ext4047 after 1.30pm ) to check that all your results are back. (When you call for reports please give the date investigations are done)

Once all the reports are ready we will make you an appointment to see a Doctor for a physical examination. The Doctor will complete the Medical form and you can get it stamped at the reception before taking it to Personnel Affairs.
