All staff of University , University Hospital and their immediate dependents.  For Oman nationals this includes maternal and paternal parents.  Eligibility does not include extended family, e.g. brother, uncle, cousin.

All expatriate staff should show their Health card/family health card at reception when asked.

Expatriate staff on family visa may have their parents seen, but will be considered paying patients. Above 18 years old children are paying patients even on family visa.

All female expatriate staff should produce a letter or health card from administration for free treatment of their children failure to this they are treated as paying patients.

Expatriate staff on single contracts does have to pay for their spouse and children. 

ELIGIBILITY – SPECIAL CIRCUMSTANCES:

  • All medical students for the Hepatitis Clinic.

  • Students referred from Student Clinic to see a FAMCO consultant.

  • VIP patients with a referral from Administration.

  • Non-eligible patients with a referral from Administration for one encounter only.

  • Hospital attendants with acute problems and referred from the Hospital Wards.

  • Old Al Khodh  Village residents with a referral from the clinic.

NON-ELIGIBILITY:

 All non-eligible patients must have a referral from the Hospital Administration.  They will be seen for the presenting problem and will be classed as a one visit only.  When the problem is resolved, the patient should return back to his or her own health clinic.  No on-going chronic medical conditions will be continued, patients will be referred to more appropriate outpatient department or their nearest health center.
