The Department contributes to undergraduate teaching of the B.Sc. (Health Sciences), MD and B.Sc. (Medical Laboratory Sciences) degrees. In the B.Sc. HS degree, the Department is involved in ten system and non-system based courses. Two of these courses, General Pharmacology (PHAR 2004) and Pharmacology (PHAR 4010) are fully delivered by the Department.

In the MD degree, the Department contributes to the Integrated Lecture Series (ILS), interdisciplinary activities, rotations in the different clinical specialties and postgraduate programs organised by the Oman Medical Specialty Board. The Department, solely, coordinates the Therapeutics Course which is provided to the 6th year medical students.

In the B.Sc. MLS program, the Department contributes to teaching of ‘Biology of Disease’ and ‘Diagnostic Toxicology and Therapeutic Drug monitoring’ courses.

In the B.Sc. Nursing, the Department offers two courses, Dosage Calculation for Nurses (NURS 3000) and Pharmacology fro Nursing (NURS 3002).

In addition, the Department offers Masters in Clinical Pharmacy and plays an active role in the teaching of Masters in Biomedical Sciences students. The department coordinates Research Methodology & Critical analysis of Scientific Information (METH 6001)
