Comprehensive Thalassaemia Care Facility

The Hematology Department runs the most advanced comprehensive thalassaemia care service. It is located in the Day care Centre fecility at Level 0 behind the Clinical Physiology Department.

Patients with homozygous thalassaemia major are seen 5 days a week. Thalassaemia patients receive their regular scheduled blood transfusion, are examined, investigated and managed with the appropriate medications.
