Responsibilities:
- Clarifying the actual requirements of new equipment needed by different colleges and centers at the university in coordination with concerned departments.
- Revising and evaluation of tenders related to new Equipment purchase along with the end users and procurement department in terms of technical specification, quantity, warranty, pre installation requirement and operation / maintenance training and after sales technical support.
- Assisting the concerned departments and the suppliers for the new Equipment Site preparation and installation.
- Maintenance of all office equipments, Print shop machineries, Sports equipments and entertainment systems without effecting efficiency of the day to day work of the University.
- Timely arranging Necessary Spares either locally or from Abroad.
- Preparation of Technical Regulation, Condition, Guidelines and Specifications in equipment service contracts.
- Negotiation for the price, quality, availability, shelf life of the consumables for new machines before awarding the tender.
- Replacement of spares once the life period mentioned by manufacturer is expired.
- Evaluating Suppliers offers by considering maximum shelf life of the spares and capacity of the machine for getting maximum performance.
- Re-evaluating spares durability offered by the supplier before placing the order if not insisting company to replace free of charge otherwise make them to charge according to the durability given by the part.
- Comparing the cost of repairs and efficiency of the machine with a new machine before doing the maintenance job.
- Supervision, allocation of the daily job, time keeping etc.. for the company resident technicians having service contract with university. Also supervising other company technicians who are on emergency calls.
- Reconfirming the price in quotation and invoice with actual listed price after completing the job.
- Controlling the usage of Toner(powdered ink for photocopier) by balancing the supply to the end-user through system.
- In house Training for Students from Vocational Training and Engineering Colleges.
- Inventory maintenance & Labeling of the Equipments through the System.
- Arranging standby machine with suppliers, if the faulty machine needs more time to get it fixed.
- Arranging separate machine for the seminar / exhibition halls when and where some requirements arise.
- Relocation of the Equipments according to the timely requirements by Concerned Department/ College.
