About College Forum
  1. About College Forum:

The College Forum formerly known as SCRAPS (Surgery, Clinical Medicine, Radiology, Anatomy, Pathology and Laboratory Sciences), is a deeply embedded tradition of the College of Medicine and Health Sciences.

It began since the inception of College of Medicine. It is a weekly activity that comprises the presentation of interesting, rare or challenging cases by a multidisciplinary team of clinicians. In addition to clinical cases, the College Forum embraces other forms of activity including debates, invited speakers, and research related presentations. The presentations are mainly delivered by faculty.

Moreover, students, interns and residents’ participations are highly encouraged. The title given by the presenters tends to be ambiguous in order to stimulate the curiosity of the audience.

Following the presentations, there is time allocated for questions and answers and interactive discussion. A record of attendance is maintained as well as an activity evaluation for all sessions.

  • College Forum Aims:
  1. To spread knowledge among the medical community about interesting cases.
  2. To highlight the importance of multidisciplinary approach to patient care.
  3. To update the medical community about what is new in the field of medical education, clinical care and research.
  4. To increase collaboration with other health care institutions and national organizations in the field of medicine.
