Guidelines for Publication of Abstracts of
International Medical Conferences in this Journal
1.
All
the abstracts relating to one conference should be consolidated
and sent together to the Editor, SQU Journal for Scientific
Research Medical Sciences as a single MS Word file, accompanied by
a paper copy, and a cover letter signed by the authorised
signatory of the Conference Committee, through the Executive
Director, OMSB.
2.
All
the abstracts should be in the Journal’s standard format
and need contain the following:
a.
Title of the abstract.
b.
Names of all the authors in the following format: Name Initial
Surname (eg: Ahmed M. Al-Habsi and not A.M.Al-Habsi). The name
of the first/corresponding should be starred(*).
c.
Affiliation of all the authors, (plus e-mail address of the
first author if available).
d.
Sections: If the abstract represents an original research paper,
it should be divided into the following sections: Objective,
Method, Results, Conclusion.
e.
The
length of each abstract should not exceed 250 words.
f.
(Keywords are not required.)
3.
Accepted abstracts will be published both in the print and the
Internet editions of the Journal.
4.
The
decision of
Editorial
Board of SQU Journal for Scientific Research: Medical
Sciences will be binding on all matters regarding the
publication of abstracts.
