A delegation from Club Alpha Ulm/Neu-Ulm in Bavaria, Germany, consisting of a number of women who have excelled in different fields including entrepreneurship, business and education, and their partners, visited Sultan Qaboos University today. The delegation, headed by Prof. Dr. Sibylle Brunner, Professor of Economics, University of Applied Sciences Neu-Ulm, was received at SQU by officials from the Office of International Cooperation led by Dr. Shahid Al Balushi, Expert, and International Cooperation Office.
The delegation was briefed about Sultan Qaboos University and its progress in teaching, research, internationalization and community services spheres over the years. The two sides discussed about higher education and business scenarios in Oman and other related topics.
The delegation from Club Alpha Ulm Neu-Ulm is visiting Oman to learn more about its people, culture, business scenario, and social development. It consisted a group from academics and officials from University of Applied Sciences New Ulm. The academics said that the University has strong partnerships with business enterprises and institutions in the region and is keen to produce graduates who are qualified for the job market especially for its partners in the business community.
