The Department of Soils, Water and Agricultural Engineering (SWAE), College of Agricultural and Marine Sciences (CAMS), Sultan Qaboos University (SQU), has organized a “SWAE Stakeholders’ Meeting and Workshop on Academic Program Review and Accreditation” at CAMS - Conference Room, on May 18, 2016 from 8:30 am-2:00 pm.
The stakeholders of the department (Agricultural Engineering, Soil Sciences, Water Technology) comprising representatives from relevant Ministries, all types of employers, alumni and so on are expected to be present. They are most important components for the performance evaluation process. The Department of SWAE has organized this workshop in order to get the feedback for the self-evaluation process leading to propos revisions for the degree programs under Academic Program Review (APR) process. It is also intended to demonstrate our strengths, increase the awareness of our programs and products among the stakeholders; particularly the relevant Industries and public sector institutions, who are potential contributors by providing research, training and employment opportunities for our graduates.
During this Workshop, we will demonstrate the capabilities of our graduates, and the strengths of this program. The participants will visit our research and teaching facilities and meet our dynamic faculty members, supporting staff and students. We also receive the inputs and constructive suggestions to further improve our degree programs.
