Syed Mujahid Hussain joined the department of Economics and Finance as an Assistant Professor in September 2015. Prior to joining SQU, Dr. Hussain was an Assistant Professor in the department of Finance at Hanken school of Economics in Helsinki, Finland. He has also served as a visiting faculty at Lappeenranta University of Technology Business School in Finland and National University of Science and Technology Business School in Islamabad, Pakistan. In addition to academia, he has also been a visiting researcher in the department of monetary policy and research at the Bank of Finland in Helsinki, Finland. Dr. Hussain has widely participated and presented his work in international conferences, and published in many peer reviewed scientific journals such as the Journal of Banking and Finance, European Financial Management, Multinational Finance Journal, and Emerging Markets Finance and Trade. He also serves as an ad-hoc reviewer for Journal of Banking and Finance, European Journal of Finance, and International Review of Economics and Finance among others.
