Dr. Khaldoon Nusair is currently an Associate Professor and Head of Marketing Department in the College of Economics & Political Science at SQU. Prior to joining SQU, Dr. Nusair was an Associate Professor of Hospitality Marketing at University of Central Florida, Orlando/USA. Dr. Nusair has taught a number of marketing courses at the bachelors, masters, and doctoral levels. He is the author of one book and more than 85 refereed papers in leading academic journals and proceedings of international conferences. His publications appeared in Thomson Reuters ISI indexed journals including: Tourism Management, Information & Management, International Journal of Hospitality Management, Information Systems Frontiers, Journal of Travel & Tourism Marketing, International Journal of Contemporary Hospitality Management, International Journal of Information Management, Journal of Business Research, and International Journal of Tourism Research. Dr. Nusair supervised three PhD students and served on a number of dissertation committees. Dr. Nusair has received 9 international awards for his research contributions. His “Prestigious Emerald Citations of Excellence” from Emerald Publishing was received in 2016. He serves on the Editorial Advisory Board of six international journals. He is also an Ad hoc reviewer for Cornell Quarterly, Journal of Service Management, Journal of Information and Management, International Journal of Hospitality Management, and Tourism Analysis. Dr. Nusair served as the Vice President of International Hospitality Information Technology Association (iHITA) from 2009-2012. His industry experience includes working for multinational companies in USA and the Middle East. He is also a frequent speaker at international conferences and industry forums.
