Dr. El-Bouri joined the College of Economics and Political Science at Sultan Qaboos University in September of 2006. His current research is in scheduling of industrial production systems, with emphasis on automated decision-making and schedule recovery. Dr. El-Bouri’s research has been published in international journals, including the European Journal of Operational Research, International Journal of Production Economics and Computers and Operations Research. He has also worked for several years as an industrial engineer in a natural gas transmission project for the National Oil Company of Libya.
