About Genetics

HOD Message

Welcome to our Department of Genetics website, where we hope to provide you with useful information about our activities within the College of Medicine and Health Sciences at Sultan Qaboos University (SQU) and Sultan Qaboos University Hospital (SQUH).

Geneticists seek to understand how genes are inherited, altered, regulated and expressed, in relation to our overall understanding of the human disease. The endless possibilities on the frontiers of discovery make genetics one of the most exciting fields in biology.
