a meeting with representatives from the Center for Defense Studies.

Dr. Rahma Al-Mahrooqi, Deputy Vice Chancellor for Postgraduate Studies and Research held a meeting today 8\8\2016 with a number of military representatives from Center for Defense Studies. The two sides reviewed the existing ties between the two institutions and the ways to broaden collaboration in common areas of interest with special reference to research. The two sides agreed upon the following:

 

1-To find a mechanism to allow the Center for Defense Studies’ employees to borrow books from SQU’s main library.

2-To offer training courses (with reduced fees, if possible) for the Center for Defense Studies’ employees either by Center for Community Service and Continuing Education or via the Skills Program under the Deanship pf Postgraduate Studies.

3-To provide the center for Defense Studies with some background information about the 10 research centers at SQU.

4-To establish a collaboration between SQU and the Center for Defense Studies in organizing various events on a regular manner.

5-A meeting shall be held between SQU and the Center for Defense Studies after the 5th of September 2016.

6- To assess the possibility of signing a Letter of Understanding between the two institutions.
