Processing the applications of the applicants for best teacher and best advisor awards

  1. The nominations are for the University Day (2 May) and the Dean’s office circulates the announcement to all departments and collect the applications. The Dean’s office also asks the departments to nominate faculty members to serve on the Ad Hoc committees for the best teacher, best advisor, and best FYP awards.
  2. Once received from the Dean’s office, the ADUGS office forwards the applications and supporting data and documents to the members of the Ad Hoc committees for the best teacher, best advisor, and best FYP awards.
  3. The ADUGS office calls for a meeting for each Ad Hoc committee and requests each member to evaluate the candidates based on the supporting data and documents, and fill scores for evaluation criteria in the specified assessment tables. Then, the member sends the tables to the ADUGS office.
  4. The ADUGS office compiles the scores from all members and calculate the average scores for each candidate.
  5. In the meeting, the average score for each candidate is discussed and related to the supporting data and documents. Accordingly, the Ad Hoc committees list and decide the three candidates with the highest scores for the best teacher, best advisor, and best FYP awards. Then, the candidates are ranked and listed accordingly.
  6. The ADUGS office send a detailed report of the process and the list of nominations for both best teacher, best advisor, and best FYP awards to the Dean’s office.
  7. The Dean’s office forwards the nominations to College Board for approval.
