The Center aimed at accrediting an ethical Code of Ethics for the profession of psychological counseling and guidance in line with the laws and regulations applied in the Sultanate, and in line with the policy and objectives of the university, taking into account the cultural and social specificity of the Omani community. The code of ethics for workers in the profession of psychological counseling and guidance at Sultan Qaboos University was approved by Resolution No. (398/ 2019) on 19/ 05/ 2019.

A Certificate of depositing a classified Code of Ethics for workers in the profession of psychological counseling and guidance at Sultan Qaboos University from the Intellectual Property Department of the Ministry of Commerce and Industry on 17/ 11/ 2019 was also obtained.

This is considered as the first Code of Ethics in the Sultanate that regulates ethical controls and professional standards for all employees of the Student Counseling Center at Sultan Qaboos University, who wants to join the honor of practicing the profession.
