New Visa Application

This visa applies to newly admitted students who are outside the country and do not have any current visa or residence in the Sultanate.

Application Procedure:
To obtain a student visa, the applicant must complete the Visa Application Form and submit it by email along with the required documents listed in the form.

  1. Complete & sign the assigned form for this purpose accurately and thoroughly.
  2. Attach all required documents as listed in the form.
  3. Merge all documents, including the form, into a single PDF file. Please ensure the file starts with the form, followed by supporting documents.
  4. After completing the above steps, send the final file to the following email:
    dps_iss@squ.edu.om

 

 

Official Visa Application

This visa applies to applicants for postgraduate programs and those required to travel to the Sultanate for exams or interviews. It also includes graduates invited to participate in graduation ceremonies

  1. Complete & sign the assigned form for this purpose accurately and thoroughly.
  2. Attach all required documents as listed in the form.
  3. Merge all documents, including the form, into a single PDF file. Ensure the file starts with the form, followed by supporting documents.
  4. Send the final file to: dps_iss@squ.edu.om

Official Visa Application

Sponsorship Transfer Request

(From another entity to Sultan Qaboos University) This service applies to students residing in the Sultanate on another visa (work, student, or family). Students have the option to transfer sponsorship but are not obliged to switch to a SQU visa if they do not wish to. :

To request a sponsorship transfer, complete the Sponsorship Transfer Form and submit it to the International Students Section with all required attachments.

  1. Complete & sign the assigned form for this purpose accurately and thoroughly.
  2. Attach all required documents as listed in the form.
  3. Merge all documents, including the form, into a single PDF file. Ensure the file starts with the form, followed by supporting documents.

Visa Renewal

This service applies to students currently admitted/enrolled in the Sultanate on a SQU-sponsored student residence whose current residence is nearing expiry.

  1. Complete & sign the assigned form for this purpose accurately and thoroughly.
  2. Attach all required documents as listed in the form.
  3. Merge all documents, including the form, into a single PDF file. Ensure the file starts with the form, followed by supporting documents.
  4. Send the final file to: dps_iss@squ.edu.om

 

 

 

 

Family Joining Visa

Enrolled students may apply for a Family Joining Visa after obtaining their student visa and starting their studies. They must complete the Family Joining Application Form and submit it to the International Students Section with all required attachments.

Types of Family Joining Visa Applications:

  • New Visa Application
  • Visa Transfer Request
  • Official Visa Application
  • Visa Renewal Request
