Vision

The founder of this university and the architect of its renaissance, the late Sultan Qaboos bin Said—may he rest in peace—envisioned this day when he said within its halls: “We want this university to be a distinguished one.” We have therefore carried this responsibility collectively, moving forward toward becoming “a distinguished university with global impact and standing.”                                      

MISSION

We are here to build an academic environment that sparks creative thinking, generates knowledge that extends beyond boundaries, and contributes to shaping contemporary civilization through “excellence in teaching and learning, scientific research and innovation, and entrepreneurship; by promoting the principles of analytical thinking and creative thinking within a stimulating academic environment; contributing to the production, development, and dissemination of knowledge; and engaging with local, regional, and global communities.”
