Academic Excellence List

The University issues the Academic Excellence List after the release of Spring Semester results and the completion of the grade adjustment period for each academic year. The lists include the following categories:

  1. Distinction List

    • Includes students who achieve a cumulative GPA between 3.70 – 4.00.
    • Applicable across two consecutive semesters: Fall and Spring.
    • Provided that no course grade is lower than B.
  2. First Honor List

    • Includes students who achieve a cumulative GPA between 3.70 – 4.00.
    • Applicable across two consecutive semesters: Fall and Spring.
    • Provided that no course grade is lower than C.
  3. Second Honor List

    • Includes students who achieve a cumulative GPA between 3.50 – 3.69.
    • Applicable across two consecutive semesters: Fall and Spring.
    • Provided that no course grade is lower than C.

Mechanism for Calculating the Academic Excellence List


•    The Academic Excellence List is calculated by dividing the total grade points earned by the student in the specified two semesters by the total number of registered credit hours during those semesters. 
•    The minimum registered credit hours in each semester must not be less than 15 credit hours. 
•    Only courses with numerical grades are included in the calculation, in accordance with the approved regulations and conditions.

Dean’s List


The College issues the Dean’s List after the release of results for each regular academic semester (Fall and Spring) and the completion of the grade adjustment period. The list includes the following categories:
Distinction List 
o    Includes students who achieve a cumulative GPA between 3.70 – 4.00. 
o    Provided that no course grade is lower than B. 
Honor List 
o    Includes students who achieve a cumulative GPA between 3.50 – 4.00. 
o    Provided that no course grade is lower than C.
