Service Provision

The Department of Clinical Biochemistry provides a wide range of routine and specialized investigations. Some of the specialized tests such as Neonatal Screening for Inborn Errors of Metabolism are unique in Oman and hence the Department offers a referral laboratory service for such investigations. Services provided to SQU hospital on 24-hour basis. The number of tests performed from January to December 2017 was 1,908632 (12.8% increase compared to 2016).  Figure 1 shows the provision of diagnostic tests by year since 2011.
