Objectives:
The QAO, in coordination with all SQU units, aims to achieve the following objectives:

1.    Developing the quality management system and ensuring the continuity of continuous improvement processes across various university units.
2.    Supporting the university in institutional and program accreditation processes conducted by the OAAAQA.
3.    Monitoring international accreditation processes for the university’s colleges by relevant organizations and institutes, following approved systems and in coordination with the OAAAQA.
4.    Monitoring the process of listing academic programs in the Oman National Qualifications Framework (NQF).
5.    Reviewing academic programs in accordance with established procedures and adopted regulations.
6.    Supporting the university in managing and monitoring institutional performance indicators.
7.    Overseeing the development and refinement of institutional policies and institutional procedures in collaboration with the relevant units.
8.    Implementing the concepts of institutional innovation, best practices, and benchmarking.
9.    Supporting the university in monitoring the implementation of its strategic and operational plans, as well as its strategic projects.
10.    Strengthening partnerships with local, regional, and international academic accreditation and quality assurance bodies and associations to exchange expertise and benchmark the university’s quality assurance procedures.
11.    Promoting and fostering a culture of quality within the university.
12.    Obtaining feedback from beneficiaries within the university and the community to improve quality.
