The CPS at Sultan Qaboos University has been designed to prepare students who have been accepted to study at the university to enable students to achieve the required educational goals. These educational goals (education outputs) are in accordance with the Omani academic standards.

SQU – IC3 is a Certiport Authorized Testing Center (CATC) ,It’s committed to ensuring that its certification exams are respected and valued in the marketplace.

🚀 The New IC3 Digital Literacy: Global Standard 6 (GS6)

The IC3 Digital Literacy Global Standard 6 (GS6) is the latest update to the world’s leading digital literacy certification. It has evolved from a topic-based approach to a Level-based structure, ensuring a more comprehensive and progressive learning experience.

🔄 What has changed?

Unlike previous versions (GS4/GS5) which were split by topics, GS6 is structured into three progressive levels. Each level validates a candidate's skills across seven key domains, increasing in complexity and depth as you advance.

The exams are every : Sunday, Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday, Timings: 10:00 - 11:00 and 11:00 - 12:00 

Test centre location:

SQU IC3 Centre is located at SQU Campus, Centre for Preparatory Studies.

• The exams will be held in lab 2 at the CPS building - ground floor.
• Parking is available in front of the Centre for Preparatory Studies and behind it.

What are the registration fees for the test? 

1- The approved fees for submitting tests for Sultan Qaboos University students are: - 44 OMR only, including 3 tests with two retakes

2- The approved fees for submitting tests for applicants from outside the university are: 60 OMR. including 3 tests with two retakes

 Are there any other fees that need to be paid?

Yes, the  SQU’ students pay OMR 10 for each extra retake after exhausting the free retakes attempts those included in the test package

Applicants from outside the university pay OMR 13 per repeat after exhausting the free retakes attempts included in the test package

• You can do two exam per day.
• You can do any exam, the sorting is NOT mandatory.
• You must do all the samples in both modes (Training and Testing).
• You must get above 900/1000 in the testing practice to be ready for the exams.
• You must pass the 3 exams to get the certificate.
• If you fail in an exam you can retake it after 24 hours.
• If you fail in an exam for the 2nd time you can retake it after 48 hours.
• To register for the exam, fill in the registration form in Registration tab.
• The exams will be available the entire semester.
• Once you get the certificate you can upload it to the registration department to be exempted from the (IT course).
