Welcome to the Quality Management Unit (QMU) at the Centre for Preparatory Studies (CPS) at Sultan Qaboos University. The QMU is dedicated to offering regular and timely advice to the CPS leadership and academic community, ensuring that the quality of our endeavours consistently meets and exceeds expectations. Our responsibilities extend to the meticulous review of strategic and operational plans, working in close collaboration with CPS management to align our goals with the overarching vision of the Centre. We serve as advisors to the CPS Director, Deputy Directors, Heads of Department, and our esteemed colleagues on all matters of Quality Assurance, Enhancement, and Management. Our focus is on implementing necessary changes to fortify the performance of our programs, courses, assessments, policies, and procedures. The QMU emphasise the engagement with both internal and external quality assurance and enhancement guidelines, adhering to the standards set forth by the Omani Academic Accreditation Authority and Quality Assurance of Education (OAAAQA). We are instrumental in preparing accreditation and audit quality reports, both for internal review and external evaluation, fostering a culture of continuous improvement. In addition, we advocate for robust practices in obtaining and responding to valuable feedback from our faculty, staff, and students, ensuring that every voice is heard and contributes to our collective success.
