Main Aims and Objectives
1. Acquaintance with Roles and Responsibilities: Understand the detailed job description and career counseling, highlighting your roles and responsibilities during the medical internship program.
2. Professionalism and Medical Ethics: Learn about the essential aspects of professionalism and medical ethics crucial for your daily practice.
3. Clinical Documentation: Gain insights into preparing discharge summaries and other clinical documentation.
4. Specialized Talks and Career Guidance: Benefit from special talks by fellow interns and senior consultants on topics like organ donation, transplantation, and the medicolegal system in Oman.
5. Introduction to Professional Bodies: Learn about the Oman Medical Association (OMA) and the general overview of the OMSB and General Foundation Program (GFP).
Important Information Before Starting the Internship
- Program Schedule: The orientation program will be held before the start of the internship year (August each year) at the Medical Lecture Theatre, College of Medicine and Health Sciences
- Attendance is mandatory for all interns.
