Teaching and Learning Wellness (Thrive & Flourish) Committee
Purpose
With reference to the College’s efforts to promote a culture of wellness, inclusivity, and resilience within the teaching and learning community, and based on the necessity to establish a dedicated committee to support the physical, mental, emotional, and social well-being of faculty, students, and staff.
Responsibilities
- Develop accessible resources, including tailored programs, workshops, and counseling services, to promote emotional well-being.
- Advocate for healthy boundaries between professional responsibilities and personal time to prevent burnout.
- Design programs that foster a culture where everyone feels respected, valued, and supported.
- Suggest and provide practical tools, engaging workshops, and strategies to help individuals recognize and manage stress effectively.
- Establish platforms and initiatives that promote teamwork, mutual support, and sharing of best practices.
- Organize activities and initiatives that encourage fitness, healthy lifestyles, and overall physical health.
- Develop and suggest formal recognition programs to honor individual and collective milestones, inspiring motivation and positivity
- Establish a feedback loop where students & faculty can provide input on the initiatives and suggest improvements.
