Teaching and Learning Wellness (Thrive & Flourish) Committee

 

Purpose

With reference to the College’s efforts to promote a culture of wellness, inclusivity, and resilience within the teaching and learning community, and based on the necessity to establish a dedicated committee to support the physical, mental, emotional, and social well-being of faculty, students, and staff.

 

Responsibilities

  1. Develop accessible resources, including tailored programs, workshops, and counseling services, to promote emotional well-being.
  2. Advocate for healthy boundaries between professional responsibilities and personal time to prevent burnout.
  3. Design programs that foster a culture where everyone feels respected, valued, and supported.
  4. Suggest and provide practical tools, engaging workshops, and strategies to help individuals recognize and manage stress effectively.
  5. Establish platforms and initiatives that promote teamwork, mutual support, and sharing of best practices.
  6. Organize activities and initiatives that encourage fitness, healthy lifestyles, and overall physical health.
  7. Develop and suggest formal recognition programs to honor individual and collective milestones, inspiring motivation and positivity
  8. Establish a feedback loop where students & faculty can provide input on the initiatives and suggest improvements.
