The Department of Community and Mental Health at the College of Nursing organized the National Forum on World Mental Health Day 2025, under the theme:
“Mental Health and Addiction: Towards an Aware and Resilient Community.”
The event was held under the patronage of Her Highness Dr. Basma Al Said.

This forum was part of a series of initiatives aimed at raising community awareness about mental health and addiction. It featured a scientific interactive forum alongside an awareness exhibition, covering the full spectrum of the topic — from prevention and education to treatment and community support.

The forum drew participation from multiple health and educational institutions, highlighting the importance of collective efforts between individuals and organizations in promoting mental health awareness and understanding the risks of addiction.

Notably, the event included collaboration with the National Committee for Drug and Psychoactive Substance Prevention, as well as active involvement from the Royal Oman Police, represented by the General Directorate for Combating Drugs and Psychotropic Substances, and the Positive Vision Association, which contributed their expertise and community-based initiatives to enrich the forum.
